Thank you for your interest in the LLM programme in Medical Law. In this letter, you will find important information about the application process. Please complete all the application steps.
If you are applying for Coursework Masters
A coursework Master’s degree comprises four (4) coursework modules. Research Methodology is compulsory. Bioethics and the Law, Human Rights Intel. Prop. & Access to Medicines, Forensic Medicine, and Law & Medical Practice are available as electives. The student must select three (3) electives plus the compulsory module. Additionally, the student must complete a 15 000 to 20 000 word mini-dissertation.
The programme is available full-time (over 1 years) or part-time (over 2 years).
Application windows can be found on the School of Law website. Admissions for this programme occur only once a year.
Coursework Master’s students do not qualify for fee remission.
Undergraduate module in Bioethics Law
An undergraduate module in Bioethics is an advantage, but not a requirement.

After receiving confirmation that the student has applied online, email the relevant Post-graduate administrator.
The Post-graduate administrator can only process the application after receiving all required documents.

An academic transcript must be uploaded online; when available, the final LLB academic transcript must be emailed to the administrator.
Proof of prior experience or training in the medical field is required.

The administrator will process the application and sent it to the program co-ordinator for review.
Successful applicants will be invited to register for the programme.
