Biography

Dr Stevens is a Senior Lecturer in the fields of Foundations of SA Law; Human Rights; Criminal Procedure; International law; Human Rights, Intellectual Property and Access to medicine at the School of Law. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the University of the Western Cape (UWC). Stevens also coordinates the School of Law Textbook Loan Scheme. Her main focus is International law and International Trade Law with particular interest in the Sanitary and Phyto-sanitary (SPS) and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Agreements. She has presented papers at the Human Rights Education Conference; Law Teachers Conferences and the Institute for Global Law and Policy: African Regional Workshop.
