Biography

Legodi Thutse is a Lecturer in the School of Law. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws (LLM) in mercantile law with specific focus on banking law and insolvency law. Both degrees were obtained from the University of Pretoria.  He is currently enrolled for a Doctor of Laws (LLD) degree in the area of bank insolvency with the University of Pretoria. His research interests lie mainly within insolvency law, bank regulation, corporate law and governance; and the law of obligations.

Before joining the University of KwaZulu-Natal in October 2022, He served as an Academic Associate and later as an Assistant Lecturer from February 2020 to September 2022 in the Faculty of Law at the University of Pretoria.
