Obtained LLB from the University of Kwazulu-Natal in 2004.
Gained 10 years’ experience while being in private practice from 2007 to 2017 practising under the firm name of Rishen Singh Attorneys.
Completed Articles (Practical Vocational Training) at Pravda, Terblanche & Knowles (Family Law Specialist firm) and continued with similar/same work whilst in own private practice. Attended to a number of RAF and Criminal Law matters during that time.
Joined the UKZN Howard College Law Clinic in March 2017 and is currently still the Supervising Attorney here.
At the Law Clinic we attend to civil work, to name a few categories: Divorce, Employment issues, Claims (Delict & Contract), Consumer issues, Debt, payment of benefit matters, Property/Housing/Eviction, Domestic Violence/Harassment matters, Violation of Rights & Equality Court matters.
Over the years Rishen Buden Singh has trained/mentored about 20 Candidate Attorneys, most of whom are now in private practice or legal advising with some working for labour firms and bargaining councils etc.
